Duties:

• Lead litigation cases from start to finish, managing all aspects of discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Provide legal research and drafting support, including creating pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
• Engage in client communication and provide clear legal advice to clients on case strategies.
• Actively participate in settlement negotiations and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to team strategies for complex cases.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and work ethic while meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for experience in construction and surety law.
• Proven ability to independently manage cases, including all phases of litigation.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Louisiana.
