Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney in Sugar Land, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trusts and estates litigation and a demonstrated interest in advising clients on a broad spectrum of related issues. A partial book of portable business is preferred.

Duties

• Represent senior citizens and their families in financial elder abuse litigation.
• Handle trust and probate litigation for trustees, executors, administrators, and beneficiaries.
• Address contests based on lack of capacity, undue influence, or fraud.
• Manage cases involving negligent asset management and inadequate accounting.
• Resolve co-trustee disputes and removal and surcharge actions.
• Address breaches of fiduciary duty, including lack of impartiality and self-dealing.
• Supervise and mentor associates.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of TX.
• 19 years of experience in trust and estate litigation.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, consulting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent reputation for integrity and collegiality among both bench and bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in the State Bar of TX.
