Duties

• Possess a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and local Bankruptcy Court rules in Texas.
• Demonstrate familiarity with distressed transactions and bankruptcy alternatives.
• Communicate with firm attorneys, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Prepare and review legal documents, pleadings, and agreements.
• Appear in court hearings and take or defend depositions.
• Conduct legal research and writing.
• Manage case load and adhere to deadlines.
• Track time spent on client needs accurately.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in bankruptcy law.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Experience with legal software preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
