Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a highly experienced Of Counsel attorney to join its litigation practice, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and medical device product liability. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in Daubert and Rule 702 motions, complex litigation strategy, and team supervision. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile matters across multiple jurisdictions while mentoring junior attorneys and engaging with top-tier clients and experts.

Location:

• Austin, TX

Duties:

• Draft and review discovery responses, memoranda, motions, and briefs

• Develop and lead case strategy, particularly for Rule 702 and Daubert motions

• Communicate directly with clients regarding litigation updates and strategy

• Supervise and mentor associates on case preparation and legal writing

• Collaborate with experts in pharmaceutical, medical device, and scientific fields

• Participate in fact development, including depositions and interviews

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in litigation, ideally at an AmLaw 100 firm

• Substantial experience with Daubert and Rule 702 evidentiary issues

• Proven background in product liability and mass tort litigation

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry litigation

• Ability to handle complex matters independently and as a team leader

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized institution

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in the jurisdiction of application

• Admission to the New York bar highly preferred
