Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with a minimum of three years of general civil litigation experience to join its Las Vegas, NV office. The successful candidate will work within the insurance defense practice area, handling a variety of complex legal matters.

Duties

• Manage cases from inception through trial, including preparation of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing.
• Manage discovery and prepare for depositions.
• Defend commercial disputes, consumer protection claims, and professional liability claims.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of general civil litigation experience.
• Experience with Federal Court is a plus.
• Current NV Bar admission in good standing is required.

Education

• JD with excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• Current NV Bar admission in good standing.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and e-discovery platforms.
• Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner.
