Duties:

• Provide expert legal advice on complex tax matters, including compliance, planning, and litigation.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of tax clients, demonstrating the ability to grow and maintain client relationships.
• Supervise and manage tax-related files, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation and case management.
• Lead cases and represent clients in tax-related disputes and negotiations.
• Handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high responsiveness.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to address tax issues and provide comprehensive legal solutions.
• Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide the most accurate and practical advice to clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a law or public accounting firm, with substantial tax compliance experience.
• Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships, including the potential to bring in and grow a book of business.
• Strong file management skills and experience leading tax-related cases.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of responsiveness.
• Outstanding customer/client service skills.

Education:

• J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.
• LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.
