Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated tax attorney with seven or more years of transactional tax experience to join their Tax Credit and Impact Finance group in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in community development transactions utilizing new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and/or renewable energy investment tax credits.

Duties

• Advise clients on tax credit transactions, including NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs.
• Draft and review legal documents related to tax credit financing.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to structure tax credit deals.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on tax credit issues.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of transactional tax experience.
• Experience with NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs preferred.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed attorney in good standing.
