Associate Attorney

Candidate will work directly with our founding partner who will provide mentorship and career guidance and reward a driven and successful attorney with an excellent compensation package that includes a salary commensurate with experience, annual performance bonus, health benefits, and retirement plan with profit sharing contributions. Focuses on trusts and estates planning, administration and litigation for Connecticut and clients. Planning duties include drafting: wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, living wills, advance directives, ILITs, GRATs, CLATs, Dynasty trusts and more. Administration duties Include handling: probate proceedings, fiduciary resignations, successor fiduciary appointments, preparation of estate and gift tax returns, fiduciary accountings, receipts and releases, and agreements settling account. Litigation duties Include: Drafting pleadings, motion papers and discovery demands, reviewing and producing documents in response to discovery demands, preparing for and attending depositions and conferences in the Surrogate’s Courts of New York and the probate courts.
