A law firm seeks an enthusiastic midlevel Labor Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join their dynamic Labor Group in Chicago. This role focuses on labor law, requiring candidates with relevant experience.

Duties

• Represent clients in grievance arbitration hearings and unfair labor practice proceedings.
• Advise clients on union organizing campaigns.
• Support collective bargaining negotiations.
• Provide management training on the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).
• Collaborate with a national team of labor attorneys on complex matters.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of dedicated management-side labor law experience.
• First-chair experience in grievance arbitration matters.
• Ability to manage matters independently and lead proceedings.
• Experience practicing before the NLRB, with first-chair hearing experience preferred.
• Spanish language skills preferred.
• Strong writing skills; writing samples may be requested.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
