Deputy Attorney General
The candidate will serving in Kent County to represent the State of Delaware in handling a large and demanding criminal caseload for traffic crimes. Will be required to decide what cases should be prosecuted, whether plea offers should be made on a case by case basis, and what cases should proceed to trial. The Deputy Attorney General will then be required to try cases that are not otherwise resolved. Must possess the ability to evaluate criminal cases, determine resolutions, anticipate legal issues, and research accurately and effectively. Comprised of other Deputy Attorneys General and staff. Finally, the Deputy Attorney General must have the ability to learn and apply the relevant laws and court rules.
