Duties:

• Draft and manage pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
• Oversee discovery processes and resolve related disputes.
• Prepare and argue motions, including claim construction.
• Assist with trials and appeals.
• Manage cases from pre-trial to post-trial phases.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop case strategies.

Requirements:

• Must be admitted to the state bar.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience, with 5-8 years preferred, in patent litigation, specifically within the life sciences sector.
• Experience handling pharmaceutical patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act, as well as medical device, chemical, and related industries.
• Expertise in managing discovery and handling complex litigation matters.
• Familiarity with both Federal district court proceedings and Inter Partes Review (IPR) processes.
• Strong research and writing abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

Education:

• A degree in a life sciences discipline such as biology, chemistry, or chemical engineering is required.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Excellent legal research and factual investigation skills.
• Strong communication and writing skills, especially in drafting litigation materials.
