Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified mid-level associate for its growing Tax practice in New York. Consideration will also be given to exceptional candidates based in other U.S. offices. The ideal candidate will possess strong client management skills, superior academic credentials, and previous experience in a large law or accounting firm.

Duties

• Manage transactional tax matters, including funds, joint ventures, and private equity.
• Engage in strategic mergers and acquisitions, finance, and restructuring work.
• Advise on fund formation and partnership tax issues.
• Structure inbound foreign investments and REIT transactions.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of transactional tax experience.
• Experience in large law or accounting firms preferred.
• Strong client management and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of New York or eligibility to waive in.

Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in structuring complex financial transactions.
