The candidate will draft, review, and negotiate software subscription agreements, professional services agreements and statements of work, and partner agreements for resellers, distributors, systems integrators, independent software vendors (ISVs), and cloud providers. Issue spot and collaborate with stakeholders, including sales, product, finance, and operations teams, to resolve contractual issues. Educate customers about open source development, licensing, and contracting, including the subscription business model. Serve as legal advisor and first-line support to regional sales organization for all other legal and compliance issues, and advise regional sales management regarding key issues. Assist with process improvement, development of terms for new Red Hat products, programs, and contract templates, and assist with vendor contract review and negotiation. Participate in compliance initiatives, including training internal clients on contracting policies, code of business conduct and ethics, and other legal issues.
