DEI Coordinator
The candidate provides support to the global DEI team, leaders of resource groups and team members in human resources and marketing/communications to support DEI initiatives, events, projects and goals. Assists the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (Office of DEI) in planning and scheduling all aspects of diversity-related programs and events. Serves as administrative liaison to the firm's resource groups, including scheduling meetings, preparing minutes, and providing assistance on the execution of initiatives and action steps. Interfaces with other firm departments and key stakeholders. Interacts with outside vendors and organizations on the facilitation of various diversity activities and projects, including assisting with diversity conference registrations and sponsorships. Gathers data, drafts responses and coordinates the submission of diversity-related industry surveys and materials for client RFPs. Works in close collaboration with the design team to ensure communications are created, edited and produced in a manner supportive of DEI initiatives. Develops original communications used to introduce DEI themes, projects and programs to partners and employees on a global basis. Performs in a project lead capacity, as assigned, to ensure DEI team events, initiatives and projects are successfully planned, communicated and implemented. Prepares data for analysis and review by Senior DEI Manager and Global Director of DEI. Assists in tracking, monitoring, and maintaining accurate accounts of diversity budget spent. Coordinates travel and logistical arrangement for DEI programs and events, both internal and external. Maintains the firm's intranet and external website to reflect up-to-date information on DEI programs and events; also maintains calendar of internal and external diversity events and initiatives. Assists in identifying and applying to diversity and inclusion awards/recognition opportunities. Regular attendance and timeliness are required. Associate's degree is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Should have 2+ years of human resources or diversity experience within a law or professional services; and experience in event planning, coordinating meetings, and a demonstrated interest in diversity related programs and initiatives.
