Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Huntington, WV, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in medical malpractice and/or nursing home litigation. The ideal candidate should possess litigation experience commensurate with their time in practice, strong writing and analytical skills, excellent academic credentials, and a strong desire to appear in court. Active licensure to practice law in the state of West Virginia is required.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation in medical malpractice and nursing home litigation cases.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and case preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and court documents.
• Appear in court and represent clients during legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with legal teams and clients to develop case strategies and tactics.
• Maintain a client-focused approach and ensure excellent client service.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of legal experience in medical malpractice and/or nursing home litigation.
• Litigation experience commensurate with the candidate's time in practice.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong desire to appear in court and advocate for clients.
• Active licensure to practice law in the state of West Virginia.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
