A law firm is seeking an Attorney for their New Orleans, LA location.

Job Overview:

The Attorney will handle insurance defense, construction, professional malpractice, and business law matters.

Duties:

• Represent clients in legal proceedings, draft legal documents, and advise clients on legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts as necessary.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in a litigation setting, preferably with exposure to insurance defense, construction, professional malpractice, or business law.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuing legal education.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
