Job Overview

A law firm seeks a licensed Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of relevant experience to join their St. Louis, MO office. This position offers an opportunity to advance within a firm specializing in civil defense and insurance coverage litigation.

Duties

• Assist in managing insurance, personal injury, premises, and transportation litigation files.
• Defend case files from inception through trial, including handling depositions, drafting motions, and attending court hearings.
• Prepare detailed status and trial strategy reports for clients.
• Oversee all aspects of discovery, such as drafting and responding to interrogatories, production requests, and requests to admit.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the Missouri bar; Illinois license preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proactive in seeking guidance.
• Solid research and analytical abilities, with deposition and meaningful litigation experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri.
