Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its downtown Chicago, Illinois office. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, handling a high volume of creditor's rights cases and engaging in various litigation activities.

Duties

• Draft and review summons, complaints, judgments, and settlement agreements.
• Prepare and file litigation motions and responses as needed.
• Communicate with attorneys, employers, and consumers to resolve accounts and suits.
• Review lawsuits and legal pleadings for new and ongoing cases.
• Manage court coverage placements and ensure necessary documents are prepared.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois; additional state licenses are advantageous.
• Ability to appear in court punctually using personal transportation.
• Willingness to travel, with reimbursement for approved expenses.
• Strong multitasking, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
