Associate - Intellectual Property
The candidate should have an advanced degree and 2+ years of patent prosecution experience. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, superior academic credentials, with backgrounds in one of the following fields: biology, cell or molecular biology, genetics, immunology, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cancer biology, pharmacology, chemical engineering, and similar disciplines. The previous law firm or industry experience and current patent bar membership are preferred. Strong scientific backgrounds who have not passed the patent bar exam will be considered. Draft and prosecute patent applications, prepare patent opinion letters, provide IP counseling to clients, and conduct patent due diligence studies in connection with business transactions, and work with other practices in the firm to provide full service to life science companies.
