Civil Litigation Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 2-3 years of experience to handle tort/personal injury defense and complex liability matters. The ideal candidate should have experience in all aspects of litigation, including case workup, research, analysis, discovery, motions, percipient witness and expert depositions, and representing clients in mediations. Excellent research and writing skills are required.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of civil litigation cases, including case workup, research, analysis, discovery, and motions
• Take percipient witness and expert depositions
• Represent clients in mediations
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case status and discuss strategy
• Prepare for and participate in court hearings and trials
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services
• Stay informed about changes in the law and legal precedents relevant to civil litigation

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Nevada and in good standing
• 2-3 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably handling tort/personal injury defense and complex liability matters
• Experience taking percipient witness and expert depositions
• Strong research and writing skills
• Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
• Attention to detail and organizational skills

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Admission to the State Bar of Nevada
