Duties:
Handle all aspects of civil litigation, including land use and real estate disputes
Participate in zoning, permitting, and Act 250 proceedings
Conduct legal research and draft motions, memoranda, pleadings, and briefs
Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff on litigation and strategy
Advise clients across a range of real estate, land use, and commercial matters
Support senior attorneys while also independently managing assigned cases
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation or land use law
Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters efficiently
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
Commitment to professional growth and high-quality client service
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Solid academic credentials preferred
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the State of Vermont or eligibility for prompt admission
Skills:
Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Knowledge of Vermont land use regulations, zoning, and permitting procedures
Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple priorities
