Job Overview

A respected regional law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing practice group. This role is ideal for attorneys with 0–3 years of experience in civil or criminal litigation who are looking to develop their skills in a collegial and high-performing environment. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned litigators on a wide range of complex matters, both in and out of court.

Location

• Burlington, Vermont

Duties

• Support litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and memoranda

• Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and other court appearances as needed

• Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy

• Assist in client communications and case management

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in civil and/or criminal litigation

• Demonstrated ability to manage time and workload effectively

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality legal work

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team mindset

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice in Vermont or eligibility for prompt admission

• Admission to practice in New Hampshire is a plus
