A law firm in Hartford, CT, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Employment Litigation Associate Attorney. This position requires a professional with a strong employment law and litigation background to represent and defend employers in employment-related claims. The ideal candidate will provide strategic advice, counsel, and effective legal representation while handling a diverse caseload.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend employers in lawsuits and administrative charges related to various employment claims.
• Provide expert legal advice and counsel to employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, including policies, procedures, and compliance with employment laws.
• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, arbitration, and administrative hearings.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and present cases in court, including examining witnesses and making legal arguments.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Advise clients on risk management and employment practices to prevent litigation.
• Stay current with changes in employment law and relevant legal precedents.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for a background in employment law.
• Judicial clerkship experience may be considered instead of some litigation experience.
• Active admission to the Connecticut Bar or ability to obtain admission promptly.
• In-depth understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures (both state and federal).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
• Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
