Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Sacramento, CA, is seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a focus on employment or business litigation. Duties:

• Manage and oversee a diverse caseload in the areas of litigation, employment, and business law.
• Draft, review, and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Take depositions and engage in discovery processes.
• Represent clients in hearings, settlement negotiations, and trials (trial experience is a plus).
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and client advice.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to ensure case progression and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of litigation experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in employment or business law.
• Proven experience in case management, with a solid understanding of legal procedures and deadlines.
• Strong deposition and law-and-motion practice experience.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• California State Bar membership.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in legal writing and document preparation.
• Effective communication, both written and oral, with the ability to present complex information.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
