Associate Attorney - Civil Defense Litigation

Duties:

• Handle a diverse caseload of civil defense litigation matters
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communication
• Negotiate settlements and engage in dispute resolution processes
• Ensure timely and accurate management of case documents and filings
• Stay informed on legal developments and changes in the law

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Minnesota
• Additional licenses in Wisconsin or North Dakota are a plus
• 1-7 years of experience in civil defense litigation
• Ability to manage a fast-paced workload
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Openness to new experiences and willingness to learn

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Minnesota State Bar
• Additional admission to Wisconsin or North Dakota State Bars is advantageous

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw
• Strong litigation and advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
