Litigation Assistant/File Clerk
The candidate must have 1+ years of filing or office/admin experience. Prior legal background is a plus. The Litigation Assistant will be responsible for all day-to-day filing related duties. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sorting and filing legal documents, creating and updating file indexes in document management system, maintaining file room and all case file drawers and tracking open and closed cases. Litigation Assistant will arrange for sending and retrieving closed files to and from off-site storage. Other duties include updating binders, conference room set-ups, lifting and moving boxes of approximately 20 - 40 lbs., keeping general office areas organized and assisting attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries with various projects as needed. Litigation Assistant will assist our current Office Services Clerk by covering tasks such as monitoring printers for supplies daily, light kitchen clean up, CD/DVD duplication, scanning documents and saving to the system. Litigation Assistant will be main back up support for reception, covering for vacation and daily breaks. All applicants must be punctual, reliable and detail oriented. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
