Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in Providence, RI, to join its dynamic litigation group. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience handling complex corporate and commercial disputes, contributing significantly to case management and client service.

Duties

• Draft and argue motions, participate in depositions, and assist in trials and hearings.
• Manage discovery, draft pleadings, and prepare case strategy with senior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research and analyze sophisticated legal and factual issues.

Requirements

• Bar admission in at least one state and in good standing; must become admitted in Rhode Island within 6 months.
• Additional bar admission in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut is strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Manage multiple matters and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
• Practical, solutions-oriented approach to client service.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
