A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney specializing in Catastrophic Litigation to join their team in Atlanta, GA. Duties

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
• Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Travel as required.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in General Liability with a focus on Catastrophic/High Stakes Litigation.
• Proficiency in handling civil cases from inception to resolution.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions, including 30(b)(6) and expert witnesses.
• Skilled in drafting and arguing substantive motions, attending hearings, and trials.
• Participation in negotiations and mediations.
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of GA; additional state admissions are a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong research abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to self-manage and work effectively in a team environment.
• Prompt response to email and phone inquiries.
• Excellent client interaction skills and telephone manner.

Education

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of GA.
