This role involves handling and litigating matters throughout Florida, offering a dynamic practice area that includes defense of auto and truck accident claims, premises liability, wrongful death, negligent security, and general commercial litigation.

Duties

• Manage own caseload and deadlines.
• Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
• Perform legal analysis on claims and develop case strategies.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Take depositions, attend hearings, and participate in mediations.
• Conduct site inspections and accident scene investigations.
• Assist in accident reconstruction and emergency response investigations.
• Negotiate settlements and handle all aspects of trial.
• Manage post-trial requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in General Liability Defense or related areas.
• Excellent academic credentials and skills in writing, analysis, research, and negotiation.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective client and colleague interaction.
• Must be in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Trial experience required.
