Real Estate - Probate Associate Attorney
The candidate will appear on behalf of your clients at real estate closings, in real estate disputes, and in real estate litigation. Draft and review contracts, probate and trust documents, leases, financing statements, purchase and property management agreements, as well as title abstracts, summaries, and commitments, as required. Settle terms and conditions for real estate transactions, and facilitate the transfer of title between real estate agents, borrowers, and title company. Manage paralegals, clerks, and other assistants. Coordinate detailed due diligence, and inspect title examination, closing binder, and legal documents for legal risk, completion, and accuracy. Should be proficient with computers. Be a member of the local bar association and hold a current law license in the state. J.D. (Juris Doctorate) degree required from an accredited law school is required; 3 years of experience as a residential or commercial real estate attorney, as a transactional attorney, or as corporate counsel for a real estate development firm. Up-to-date knowledge of property management, business law, title insurance, land use, and residential and commercial real estate law, including litigation. Outstanding research, negotiation, and communication skills are necessary.
