Duties:

• Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and tax-efficient wealth transfers

• Draft and review a wide range of estate planning and business documents

• Provide legal support on business transactions, including entity formation, contracts, and mergers/acquisitions

• Handle real estate matters related to estate or business transactions

• Work closely with firm clients while maintaining responsiveness and attention to detail

• Support business development through client service, referrals, and networking

• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in private practice with a focus on estate planning and transactional law

• Demonstrated ability to independently handle sophisticated client matters

• Familiarity with Michigan estate, business, and real estate laws

• Some portable businesses are advantageous

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan Bar (required)

• LL.M. in Taxation or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
