Corporate Finance Lateral Associate

The candidate will have 2+ years of experience in transactional work or finance law at a large or mid-size law firm, in-house law department or financing company. Providing advice to clients on secured and unsecured, lending transactions, including equipment leasing. Representing insurance companies, banks, finance companies and financial institutions in private placements (both domestic and cross-border). Drafting and negotiating offering and transaction documents and financing statements. Advising clients on the acquisition or sale of portfolios of financial assets. Experience as debt counsel in traditional, leveraged, synthetic and/or capital lease transactions. Understanding of commercial and securities law issues as they relate to finance transactions. Representing parties in financing transactions with a broad range of asset classes. Should also possess impressive academic credentials; the ability to simultaneously negotiate and efficiently handle multiple projects; strong interpersonal, analytical, oral communication and writing skills as well as superior negotiating skills; and an understanding of business, industry and market issues. Must be a member in good standing or eligible to waive into the Illinois Bar.
