A respected and expanding law firm is seeking a full-time Immigration Attorney to join its legal team in Texas. This role involves managing a diverse immigration caseload, supervising paralegals, and representing clients before USCIS, DOS, and EOIR. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by advocating for immigrant communities while working in a professional and collaborative legal environment.

Prepare and submit filings for USCIS, the Department of State, and EOIR
Represent clients in hearings before EOIR (Immigration Court)
Conduct FOIA requests and background checks (FBI, police, court records)
Co-counsel on immigration matters with colleagues in the department
Supervise paralegals and ensure accurate, timely case preparation
Maintain detailed client communication and case notes
Review and maintain proper recordkeeping and file management
Participate in regular team meetings and strategy sessions
Build and sustain professional relationships with clients, immigration officers, and court personnel
Perform additional legal duties as assigned by management
1–5 years of legal experience, specifically in immigration law
Strong understanding of USCIS processes (e.g., family-based, asylum, U/T/VAWA, waivers, and employment-based petitions)
Experience handling EOIR cases including asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, and waivers
Demonstrated commitment to serving immigrant communities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to travel occasionally, as required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Good standing with the relevant State Bar
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume caseload
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Team-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
