Job Overview: A law firm in Columbus, OH, seeks a skilled and experienced Partner-Level Attorney to join its Data Privacy and Cybersecurity practice group. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in breach response and data privacy counseling, strong academic credentials, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Duties:

• Provide leadership and strategic direction within the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity practice group.
• Handle complex legal matters related to data privacy and cybersecurity, including breach response and compliance issues.
• Counsel clients on best practices for data protection and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide expert legal opinions.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm on cross-practice initiatives.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Ohio State Bar (active and in good standing).
• Experience practicing law with a focus on data privacy and cybersecurity issues.
• Proven track record of successfully managing high-stakes legal matters and client relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification preferred.
