Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney in Brentwood, TN. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney passionate about litigation and eager to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Assist senior attorneys with hearing and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
• Handle discovery requests and responses.
• Manage deadlines, dockets, and client communications.
• Interact with opposing counsel, court clerks, and judicial chambers.
• Attend and conduct procedural and administrative hearings.

Requirements

• Law school GPA of 3.0 or higher or placement in the top 30% of class.
• Prior experience or interest in litigation (e.g., Moot Court, Trial Advocacy).
• Proficiency in legal research, especially using Lexis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Clio practice management software.
• Competence with Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Professional (including Bates stamping).
• A valid license to practice law in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure within six months.
