Energy Associate
The candidate should have experience in a sophisticated law firm environment managing complex energy and natural resources transactional work (M&A, project development and commercial agreements). Experience with renewable energy transactional work (M&A, joint ventures, build-transfer agreements, commercial agreements such as PPAs, O&M and Shared Facilities Agreements). Experience with conventional energy and natural resources transactional work, including oil and gas and mining experience, is advantageous but not a requirement. Experience with financing transactions in the energy and natural resources sector is advantageous but not a requirement. Managing complex transactions on tight time frames, including interacting with subject matter experts in other disciplines and local counsel, and supervision of junior lawyers and legal support staff, The individual must enjoy challenges, seek out responsibility, appreciate the importance of attention to detail and be effective at interacting with variety of clients and colleagues. Other requirements include excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities and assume a high degree of responsibility.
