A law firm seeks a Business Litigation Attorney to join its office in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and versatile attorney with a client-focused approach, capable of thriving in complex legal environments.

Duties

• Represent clients in state and federal civil and business litigation.
• Handle cases in practice areas such as insurance litigation, banking, and foreclosure.
• Conduct discovery involving Electronically Stored Information (ESI).
• Draft and argue motions in court.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Illinois Court Rules and Rules of Evidence.
• Apply Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in relevant litigation fields.
• Proficiency in legal research, brief writing, and communication.
• Comfort with learning new computer software.
• Possession of a portable book of business is highly preferred.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Member in good standing and active in the Illinois Bar.

Skills
