A well-established law firm specializing in Workers' Compensation defense is looking for an Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Tustin, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with a passion for workers' compensation law. The firm represents a range of clients, including major employers, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and uninsured employers in Workers' Compensation cases across California.

Duties:

• Defend clients in Workers' Compensation cases at various California WCAB venues
• Provide legal representation in subrogation matters related to workers' compensation claims
• Handle case management, including preparing legal documents and motions
• Attend depositions, hearings, and court appearances as required
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to strategize on case development
• Maintain client relationships and provide excellent service throughout case progress
• Stay updated on Workers' Compensation law and relevant regulations

Requirements:

• Valid California State Bar license in good standing
• 10 years of experience.
• Prior experience in Workers' Compensation defense or as an applicant attorney preferred
• Recent Bar passers are welcome to apply
• Ability to handle a caseload independently and manage competing deadlines
• Strong communication and legal writing skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership with the State Bar of California

Skills:

• Knowledge of California Workers' Compensation law
• Proficient in legal research and writing
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
• Strong organizational and case management skills
• Comfortable with both in-person and remote legal proceedings
