Job Description:
Duties include but not limited to:
living and working in the residence hall; supervision, training, and evaluation of 8-11 student Resident Advisors and additional work study front desk staff; emergency/crisis management for the entire residential community; teaching Peer Group Communication credit-bearing class; creating, developing and maintaining an inclusive community that is engaging, fosters growth, and helps students reach their desired potential; enforcement of policies and processes within the residential community (including acting as a hearing officer); personal support and group advisement; updating and maintaining collegiate databases; managing occupancy within the building community; department committee involvement; campus-wide duty rotation; and some evening and weekend responsibilities are required.
Requirements:
Required qualifications:
bachelor's degree by time of appointment; residence life experience; demonstrated excellence in written communication and presentation skills; educational programming/event management experience
Preferred qualifications:
master's degree by time of appointment; previous supervision experience; competencies around social justice and inclusion; crisis and emergency management experience; experience with community standards hearings (conduct hearings); experience with facility management; experience with conflict management; experience with Maxient and StarRez; experience working with and serving diverse populations.
