A well-established law firm based in Uniondale, NY, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join its team. The firm focuses on representing clients in medical malpractice and personal injury cases. This full-time, on-site position involves handling complex legal matters, including working with medical experts, conducting research, and negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.

Duties:

• Collaborate with medical experts to develop case theories, expert reports, and testimony supporting the plaintiff's case.

• Take depositions from medical experts, medical personnel, and third parties, in addition to the plaintiff and defendant.

• Analyze and organize medical records relevant to the case.

• Perform in-depth medical research concerning the plaintiff’s condition.

• Work closely with legal nurse consultants to evaluate case merits and review medical records.

• Maintain and organize a comprehensive case list for efficient management.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in medical malpractice law.

• Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues related to personal injury and medical malpractice.

• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

• Capability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in New York.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong understanding of legal research techniques and procedures.

• Proficiency in case management and medical document analysis.
