A law firm seeks a Tax Associate for its Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in complex federal transactional tax matters, including business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.

Duties

• Advise clients on federal transactional tax matters.
• Assist with business entity formations, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Provide guidance on state and local tax issues, including income, franchise, sales, and use tax.

Requirements

• Active bar license in the corresponding state or commitment to obtain one.
• Experience with non-profit and for-profit clients preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in good standing.
