A respected mid-sized law firm in New Jersey is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with 1 to 5 years of experience in municipal prosecution, municipal court matters, and general litigation. This role offers hands-on courtroom experience representing municipalities and handling a variety of legal matters. Location:

• Warren, NJ

Duties:

• Serve as municipal prosecutor in assigned jurisdictions

• Handle a range of municipal court cases, including traffic violations, code enforcement, and ordinance violations

• Represent municipalities and clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings

• Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, and trial briefs

• Conduct legal research and provide counsel on municipal law issues

• Advise municipal officials on compliance and legal obligations

• Collaborate with legal teams on litigation and prosecution strategy

• Maintain communication with clients, court personnel, and municipal representatives

Requirements:

• 1 to 5 years of experience in municipal prosecution, municipal court, or litigation

• Strong courtroom presence and ability to advocate effectively in municipal court

• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with professionalism

• Must submit salary expectations and three professional references with application

• Bilingual ability is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the State of New Jersey
