Job Overview: A law firm specializing in construction law is seeking a skilled construction attorney to join their team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will handle various transactional and litigation matters related to construction law, focusing on Ohio public design and construction contracts.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in construction law matters.
• Draft and negotiate contracts for various construction projects.
• Assist clients in the procurement of Ohio public design and construction contracts.
• Handle litigation related to construction disputes, including mediation and arbitration.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff on complex legal issues.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Ohio State Bar with good standing.
• Experience practicing construction law, preferably in Ohio.
• Proven experience in both transactional and litigation matters.
• Strong understanding of Ohio public design and construction contract procurement.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and legal writing skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certification in Construction Law (e.g., through the American Bar Association).
