A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Plantation, FL. The role involves managing all aspects of cases in state and federal courts, including pre-trial preparation, court appearances, and trial proceedings. The attorney will work on a variety of personal injury claims, ensuring each client receives dedicated attention and care.

Duties

• Meet with clients and file lawsuits.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Schedule and attend fact witness depositions.
• Retain appropriate experts and attend expert depositions.
• Schedule and attend hearings.
• Prepare for and attend mediations.
• Prepare cases for trial and try cases to verdict.
• Prepare and file post-trial motions.
• Attend file audits, litigation meetings, and trial clinics.

Requirements

• License in good standing to practice law in Florida.
• Proven track record of winning, including at least 2 jury trials as first chair.
• Ability to manage a large and active caseload from filing through verdict.
• Success in providing direction and guidance to a team.
• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Strong courtroom presence and eagerness to try cases.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Florida Bar admission.
