A law firm seeks a remote personal injury attorney located in Northern Virginia or Washington, DC, for court appearances. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while managing a caseload of personal injury cases.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents and bicycle crashes.
• Assist with medical malpractice cases.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies.
• Conduct initial client consultations over Zoom.
• Draft legal documents such as demand letters, lawsuits, and motions.
• Engage in settlement negotiations with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
• Provide litigation support to lead counsel.

Requirements

• Virginia license required; DC license preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in personal injury and/or medical malpractice.
• Trial experience required.
• Strong writing skills.
• Client-focused and empathetic mindset.
• Stable internet connection and quiet work environment.
• Ability to travel 1-2 times per year for trials or CLE events.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia; DC license preferred.
