A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in West Palm Beach, FL. The attorney will manage high-value cases in both state and federal courts, handling all aspects from pre-trial preparation to trial proceedings.

Duties

• Meet with clients and file lawsuits
• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Schedule and attend fact witness depositions
• Retain appropriate experts and attend expert depositions
• Schedule and attend hearings
• Prepare for and attend mediations
• Prepare cases for trial and try cases to verdict
• Prepare and file post-trial motions
• Attend file audits, litigation attorney meetings, and trial clinics

Requirements

• A license in good standing to practice law in Florida
• 1-5 years of experience as a PI Litigator
• Ability to handle a large and active caseload from filing through verdict
• Success in providing direction and guidance to a team of staff
• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Analytical and research skills
• A strong courtroom presence and eagerness to try cases

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida
