Duties

• Litigate unlawful detainer actions in California state courts.
• Defend and conduct depositions.
• Provide legal advice through phone consultations.
• Respond to client questions and concerns.
• Prepare motions, pleadings, and other trial-related documents.
• Propound and respond to discovery, depositions, and motions.

Requirements

• J.D. and active California Bar license.
• 1 to 3 years of trial experience.
• Strong oral advocacy and writing skills.
• Knowledge of trial procedure and evidentiary rules.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to spend multiple days per week in court.
• Preferred: Knowledge of unlawful detainer law and jury trial experience.

Education

• Graduate degree.

Certifications

• Active California Bar license.
