- Proficiency in drafting legally-compliant policies, handbooks, contracts, and other employment-related documents
- Experience conducting internal investigations or audits and providing proactive risk management solutions
- Advising on compliance with occupational health and safety laws
- Devising lawful strategies and policies for employers who prefer to remain union-free
- Experience advising unionized employers, conducting bargaining negotiations, and defending union grievances and arbitrations
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Active license to practice law in the state of Nebraska
Skills:
- Strong litigation and courtroom skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proactive problem-solving and risk-management abilities
- Negotiation skills for bargaining negotiations with unions
