Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to join their Hackensack, NJ office. The attorney will represent clients in New Jersey on family law matters, including separation and divorce, custody disputes, spousal and child support, and marital property division. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in family law and possess strong writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Location:

• Hackensack, NJ

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters such as separation and divorce, custody disputes, spousal and child support, and property division
• Draft and prepare discovery, motions, and other legal documents
• Negotiate settlements and handle hearings and trials
• Manage cases independently or in collaboration with a team
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients during emotionally charged situations
• Maintain communication with clients regarding case status and updates

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Proficient in drafting discovery and motions
• Experience with negotiation and settlement of family law cases
• Licensed to practice in New Jersey (New York Bar is a plus)
• Ability to work in the Hackensack office a few days a week

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New Jersey Bar (Required)
• New York Bar (Preferred, not required)
