Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Associate to join its Kansas City, MO office. The successful candidate will engage in defending and litigating a variety of employment-related claims and provide counsel on labor and employment laws.

Duties

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration.
• Provide advice and counsel on labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 2+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for an employment law background.
• Active MO and KS bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in Missouri and Kansas or ability to obtain admission quickly.
